Our Office, and How We Work For You
We are an independent private practice able to serve your personal needs. Dr Scharold and his staff are committed to putting, you, the patient first. To accomplish this efficiently we have the following practice information for you.

Phone Calls in general are taken by my receptionist, who will relay your message to me. If we are busy with patients in the office, then you may need to leave a message. Please be prepared to give a brief description of your ailment or concern, and a number where we can reach you. You will be contacted ASAP.
Office hours are from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday. The office staff always tries to schedule the appointment at a convenient time for you. If you must cancel your appointment, please notify the office at least 24 hours in advance.
Prescriptions: If you need your prescription refilled between office visits, You can call us and leave your name, prescription and pharmacy on our pharmacy line, or call your pharmacy and they will contact my office. Allow 1-2 days to process. You may need a check-up before refilling some prescriptions, so call your pharmacy several days before you run out of your medication.
Emergencies: I will be available 24 hours a day at (843) 681-9300 to respond to emergencies. Your message will be relayed to me and I will call you back as quickly as possible. Acute problems that arise after hours may require a range of solutions, from a prescription to an admission to the hospital. If you are unable to wait for me to return your call, go the nearest emergency treatment center, as permitted by your insurance company, or call 911.
